Documentation, Support & Security

A complete set of Miva Merchant documentation is included with your package and 24/7 Phone Support is included with our eCommerce plans. Our ecommerce plans all include 128-bit SSL (secure socket layer) GeoTrust encryption to secure your shopping cart, storefront and credit card transactions.

Initial Implementation / Migration to Miva Merchant

• Use any browser such as Internet Explorer or Netscape to login to Miva Merchant and setup your storefront using the Miva Merchant information you receive in your Welcome Letter after you have purchased one of our eCommerce Plans.
• Follow the built in wizards to upload your inventory, setup your catalog and storefront.
• If you have an existing storefront at another hosting company you can transfer your complete storefront, settings, inventory and everything else to our system easily with simple to follow instructions…OR…have us transfer your storefront to our servers within a few hours with no downtime, contact us for more information.

Merchant Account & Payment Acceptance

If you decide to accept credit cards directly thru your storefront Miva system, you will need a merchant account and payment gateway system to conduct ecommerce.

Note - You can also accept Paypal and will NOT need the merchant accounts above, you may also accept Checks and Money Orders, or simply process your credit card transactions in your physical store, not needing the merchant accounts above.

Each merchant account program above includes the Authorize.NET payment gateway at no extra charge and includes a virtual terminal accessible through your web browser to manage your transactions and link directly with Miva Merchant. All merchant account payment information is secured through 128-bit SSL technology included with all our hosting plans.

With either merchant account/payment gateway you receive 24/7 customer service, Direct Deposited Payments, FDIC insured, Fraud Protection, Electronic Check, and Check Guarantee.

Using the Merchant Account

You can use your merchant account/payment gateway with Miva Merchant by entering your unique user ID and password into the Miva Merchant administration screen and Miva Merchant will do the rest.

You can also link your PayPal account or 2Checkout account to Miva Merchant. A fully automated payment system wizard enables you to choose your payment processor to accept payments directly through your storefront.
